Guarnaschelli is an Food Network Iron Chef America contestant who competed against Cat Cora for the Farmers Market Battle of 2007 on Iron Chef America. In addition to her role as a Judge on the show In 2011, she took part in The Next Iron Chef's fourth season, where she finished third. Also, she participated with the Food Network Challenge Ultimate Thanksgiving Feast episode and lost the contest. After the conclusion of The Following Iron Chef's 4th season, she was appointed sous-chef by Iron Chef Geoffrey Zakarian. She became host of The Food Network's The Cooking Loft With Alex Guarnaschelli in 2008, and she teaches a small group of students on how to recreate classic dishes.
