Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor, popular for his roles on the popular television show 'Law and Order Special Victims Unit. His passion for acting started during his college years. He was a student of acting at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Although he's been in films as well as on TV but it's the character actors on smaller screens which have earned him acclaim. He's been able effortlessly play roles of characters from both sides of the law, and captivate the viewers' attention. When he first appeared on television, for his debut production, he played the role of a serial killer. Then, he played the role of an NYPD detective. Because of his portrayal in the small screen, he's been up for nomination several times for the prestigious Emmy Awards. The piercing, blue eyes which are said to make his look attractive. They have helped to play rough characters in a charismatic way. People's magazine's Sexiest Men Alive 2006 featured the actor.
