Selena Gomez, an actress and a singer with a huge following across the world. Disney's Wizards of Waverly Place, one of the biggest projects that she has been a part of and has achieved the most successes, is her own project. Her full name is Selena Marie Gomez. She was born on the 22nd of July 1992 in Grand Prairie Texas. Amanda Cornett, and Ricardo Gomez are her parents. Selena's mom was only 16 when Selena first came to the scene. At the age of nine, Selena got her first job in show business when she was cast as Gianna on Barney and her Friends. This meant she was among many children to have played alongside Barney, the well-known Pink Dinosaur, an anthropomorphic dinosaur. Selena was a part of several episodes for seasons 7 and 8 from 2001 - 2003. Selena Gomez was not the sole singer to work on Barney And His Friends between 2001 and the year 2003. Demi Lorvato joined the cast as well. Selena Gomez had a few auditions for various shows and movies following the conclusion of the show Barney and his Friends. Her auditions did not go well. In 2003 she was given one small role Mini Spies 3: (Spy Kids 3D: Game Over), and in Walker Texas Ranger Trial by Fire in the role of Julie. Also, in 2006 she was Emily Grace Garcia on the Brain Zapped television program. In this role, she composed a tune.
